Nyles Lehnen Knows It's Important to Stay Fit

In the US, there is a serious problem with health, weight, and obesity. Out of all of the developed and industrial countries in the world, the US is the most unhealthy. It's an unfortunate truth of the richest country in the world. There is a serious need to expand health education and improve citizens' access to healthy food.

Being someone who has been relatively healthy throughout his life, it's easy for Nyles Lehnen to see the problems the country faces with its weight. When you grow up with sport and activity like Nyles Lehnen did, it becomes a part of your life that you continue to pursue into adulthood. Nyles Lehnen absolutely loves to stay fit. He runs, bikes, and plays community sports whenever he has free time. Staying fit is a part of his identity and he owes that to his active youth.

Growing up, Nyles Lehnen played outside all of the time with his friends. These days kids stay inside too much, playing on the computer or on their gaming consoles. There isn't as much incentive to go outside, play, and explore. Nyles Lehnen thinks that parents and schools should take more of an initiative to help encourage kids to get out more and have fun outside. Staying active even in little ways makes a difference in the health of any person.

Because of his time spent playing on various sports teams, Nyles Lehnen also learned how to eat right. This is something that Americans need a better education in as well. Too many people think buying diet foods and diet sodas mean they will lose weight and be healthier. Nyles Lehnen realized early on in his life that it's really about eating things in moderation. It's also important to buy food that grows and isn't processed, packaged, and artificial. If you do that, your health will be a lot better off.
